Activating Self-Healing: Focus on the Feel

Our culture suggests that the best way to operate on the daily is keeping attention focused outside of ourselves where we can feel proud of accomplishing things. But the true gift is when your personal awareness starts to shift back onto your own needs. Its taking your focus off objects and back onto you, the subject of your life. This is where healing begins.
Transformative forces start to shift inside of us when we place our focused attention on our selves. Energy is repurposed from doing into self-healing.
TRY THIS SIMPLE PRACTICE
One of the fastest ways to activate self healing is by placing your hands on your heart and your solar plexus (the space between your ribs) and breathe into these spaces. Focus on how it feels to expand the core with each in breath and to return to your neutral with each exhale. Feel your heart beat in its unique rhythm. Feel the connection of your hands to your beautiful body. With this simple exercise, you are activating the parasympathetic nervous system response and recentering the body and mind through the collaborative and tactile feedback of the hands in collaboration with the breath.
